Photo set-up

I wanted to share my photo set-up, which is pretty simple and cheep. 
I am using:

• Sony cyber shot point and shoot camera with a tripod
• flotone 43 x 63 inch thunder grey backdrop from http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
• umbrella lights from www.cowboystudio.com with daylight fluorescent bulbs
  (bought at any store that sells lights)
• and something to suspend from the ceiling above the work

To start I place a table the long way and secure the backdrop (I use tape.) I set up the lights as high as possible and about 6 feet away from the object being photographed. For small objects I suspend dark paper (in this case crayola 18 x 24 paper) or cloth around 3 inches above the piece being photographed. 
On the camera I zoom in as tight as possible around the object. Only use optical zoom because digital zoom will reduce the quality. Play around with your camera settings to find the best image.
