This was an Installation I created with Jody Russ at the Lake Erie research center in Ohio, around 2002/3. The Title is "Dali's Cosmos" and the remembrance of walking through the space and the delight of watching them grow and evolve was a delight.
I submitted photos to the blog Social and Political Art and they were loved. There is not any text with these images because they speak for themselves and are understood through personal interpretations, current news, and research into the country connections. Here is a link to my flags: http://www.socialpoliticalart.com/2012/09/michael-douglas-political-art-flags.html Am excited to take part in a wood firing at the University of Minnesota. Soon some new ceramic work will be up if all goes as planned.
My piece for the "Flashpoint-An International Wood Fire Exhibition" has arrived in Denver Colorado at the Plinth Gallery. John Balistreri was the juror and the show opens October 5th 2012 from 5pm to 10pm. The show will run for 2 months. I am very excited to be a part of this exhibition! *edit* Just found out that I received an Honorable Mention! |
