I have came to a stumbling block with the modular ceramic piece and am currently contemplating my next move. This is a good thing because without these stumbling blocks how does learning happen.

In other news a mug was accepted into the Workhouse Arts Center exhibition Drink This! that was juried in by Linda Arbuckle. That is exciting to me.

Organizing and Playing with Modular Ceramics

I picked up the modular last night still warm. The porcelain posts went to Cone 9 and the Terracotta connectors were fired to cone 2. I was able to play a little with them last night but the pieces need a little work, I need to do some grinding to enlarge the holes in the connector pieces and see if I can sharpen the posts and give them somewhat of a point.

The kiln has been loaded and these pieces will be out hopefully Sunday around noon. Then later that day I will be attempting to build something. Huzzah!

The kiln misfired and the work has been loaded into another kiln that is going up as I type. If all goes right I will have the pieces by Wednesday
