I keep thinking about this idea ever since I brought it up during an interview at Northern Clay Center. There are sister cities that are a way to foster international communication and appreciation. I want this to happen with ceramic institutions throughout the world. I think it would broaden the horizon of what ceramic artists are doing globally and provide exposure to other forms of functional and sculptural ceramics. Highlighting the impact these artists have within their community and expanding understanding of ceramic work.
